The novel "A Tank Under the Christmas Tree," which has been in preparation since 1990, reflects on the state of Palestine over 75 years, starting from World War I until the end of the First Palestinian Intifada, following the transformations Palestine has experienced. A generational novel, set in Beit Sahour, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and other Palestinian cities. As much as it is a novel of the Palestinian city drawing from the history of the homeland, it is also an extraordinary love story, a narrative about music, singing, art, culture, the pioneering role of the Palestinian people humanly, resistively, and artistically, the Christian role in the Palestinian struggle, and its various manifestations, as well as the great achievement of Beit Sahour through its creative civil disobedience during the First Intifada. This generational novel, through its unforgettable characters, also presents the methods used by Zionism to control Palestine.
